About Us - Introduction
- Veronica and Jocelyne
- Welcome to our blog! Our names are Veronica Poitras and Jocelyne Quane, and this spring/summer we aim to bike across Canada from Vancouver BC to Halifax NS in fulfillment of a dream (Jocelyne will ride as far as the western Ontario border and will complete Part 2 at a future time). This trip will combine our love of travel, cycling, and being physically (and mentally!) challenged. In the words of fellow cyclist Greg Cooper, this trip will be about “fun raising, not fundraising.... a celebration of being Canadian, and being healthy.” The title of our blog comes from the following lyrics, of which we were reminded in the planning of this trip: “when you dream it might come true... when you dream, dream big.” We invite you to follow us on our adventure! Here’s to a strong tailwind!
